The Baluster has become my favorite mug and pitcher shape the high full shoulder gives it both strength, balance, and grace. In the original glaze, the potter added copper to lead to get green, my adaptation of this is to add a small amount of copper to a safe, non-lead base then fire it hotter than a period firing. This makes my green glaze safe, sturdier and more stable than the original, while capturing the medieval flair.
